About Me

Hi there! I'm so glad you stopped by my site, I hope you enjoy your stay while you are here.

About Me

My name is Stacy Atkins and I am from Barboursville, West Virginia. I have a degree in Social Studies Secondary Education with a minor in History, but I am currently an office manager at an accounting firm and LOVE my job and my work family.

I am happily married to this guy:
the one with the beard

and this is our "son"

Xerxes (the Prince of Purrsia) is a professional photo-bomber, decoration destroyer, and parkour expert.

Writing

I have recently started writing again and joined a local writing group with whom I did NaNoWriMo (http://nanowrimo.org/). I am a pretty big advocate for National Novel Writing Month and the camps that happen during the spring and summer as well. If you have any questions about NaNo or joining us in November, send me an email and I will be glad to hook you up!

My writing group, The Wicked Wordsmiths of the West ("W3"), published an anthology of short stories in September 2015 and my story The Lily in the Library was included. You will never find this short published on my blog or elsewhere so if you are interested in reading it or the other fantastic stories penned by the wordsmiths, please pick up a copy and support local authors.

The book can be purchased through Amazon using the link below and, as always, I encourage you to shop through AmazonSmile to help a charity of your choice.
Please note that we are a not for profit writing group and all proceeds help fund us!

You can also follow my author page on amazon for future publications.

Other Stuff

I keep myself busy between video games, writing, decorating, and baking. I've been playing games since I was a wee little thing, but I have dropped off from most games in recent years. I mostly just jump between World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls online, and a few other staples.

My internet handle is Serestia, so you may see posts and such by me elsewhere under that name. I came up with it in my teens and have been using it ever since. Though it has been yoinked as well by a few different people so Googling it no longer brings up me exclusively

Click the buttons on the left if you'd like to find me on Twitter, Facebook, & Pinterest or would like to drop me an email.

I'm always looking for new post ideas so feel free to send me any questions or requests.
